Questions to Ask Your Partner to Spark Intimacy: Advice from a Denver Couple’s Therapist.
Many relationships fail because of the lack of intimacy in a relationship. The most detrimental thing you can do in a relationship is to become roommates and strangers. It's easy for life to get in the way and the relationship to take a back seat. As a relationship therapist at Authentic Connections Therapy and Wellness, I have seen this happen time and time again.
Familiarity Creates Complacency
As you start getting more comfortable in a relationship, you tend to stop trying to get to know your partner. You feel as if you already know your partner so well, you might even think that you know what they would answer to these questions. Be curious about your partner and remind yourself that the same way you are not the same person you were a year ago, your partner is also not the same person. Be curious about the ways they’ve changed and seek opportunities to get to know your partner better.
Below are some questions for you to ask your partner
Whether you want to ask a question randomly or grab a bottle of wine and have a date night out of this – it’s all fair game! The only rule is to be curious. What do I not know about my partner?
